Question
sir.
i am staying in a hostel..last week i slipped and fell such that i fell and SAT on my buttocks with such a force that i couldnt breathe or talk for 20 seconds...affter that i became normal...but i still feel a pain in the middle back wenever i walk faster, lift something heavy, ride on a bike wen there are bumps....WAT MAY BE THE REASON AND TREATMENT?

Answer

The Psoas Muscles
Eashwar,

The hard landing triggered muscular contractions and the involved muscles are still contracted (the pain in the middle back).  Your diaphragm was affected, and possibly your psoas muscles.

You might consult with a yoga teacher for breathing exercises and movements that can be used to free the contractions, or you can get the recorded program I have created to train control of breathing and movement, that would help in this case.  See The Special Program to Free Breathing, which you can obtain by electronic download, at http://www.somatics.com/page7.htm  Another program, The New Seated Refreshment Exercises, contains the exercise, "The Cadenced Breathing," that would be most helpful.
