Thanks for writing!

The low back is a very complex structure. It works well most of the time but when it goes, it can be a  doozy to get right again.

Since the pain is in your right hip and you cannot lift your legs, the nerves are involved. The bones in your lowback are getting in the way of the nerves. And the nerves cannot do what they are supposed to do and are trying to do. This causes all kinds of problems.

This condition is so bad that it may have distorted the cartilage around the bones and that cartilage could be damaged also. That is called the disc.

Before your get into injections and surgery, I suggest you get a chiropractic opinion on this. Go to www.sorsi.com, www.soto-usa.com or www.icak.com and find a good chiropractor near you. They can investigate the condition of your low back and get to the root of the problem and fix it. The adjustment is painless and safe and can work miracles in minutes.

Also, get some water soluble magnesium citrate and take that. It is available in health food stores, Natural Calm is a good brand. They will relax the muscles and help take the pain out.

There is a good book out there by Dr. Batmanghelidj titled " How to deal with Back Pain and Rheumatoid Joint Pain." Get a copy of that and follow the instructions.

It might also help to try this maneuver. Stand up and notice  which leg is the weakest. Move that leg straight sideways and put the foot on the floor there. Turn that foot on the heel so that the toes are pointing aways from you. This could make the pain worse the first time. Try it not more than two times. If it still hurts, do not do it any more.

Does this answer your question?
