Question
Im a pro wrestler and while executing a move at a show a few days ago I miss calculated and landed on my head.My head had a tingly sensation for about a minute or two ,on the right side and then went away.I have very minor pain in my neck a few days later if any pain at all but when I put my head down and feel the back of my neck while moving my head side to side there is a moving/cracking in there, right towards the middle.Im not sure if this is a muscle or a bone or what it is.I was hoping you would have suggestions on what it could be or how to treat the problem. Also I have full mobility in my neck and my back feels fine so im stumped but dont want to make it worse.

Answer
It's difficult to tell what's actually going on through the internet.  It could be a broken vertebra and even though things appear fine right now, you may be risking nerve damage and even paralysis.

I recommend going to your physician for a personal examination and x-rays to determine the extent of your injury.  Take my advice as a quadriplegic.  You don't want to have spinal cord damage if you can avoid it.  Get to a doctor and rule out any possibility of a broken vertebra in your neck.

Thank you for your question, Joe.  I hope that my answer was helpful.
