Question
Hi there. About 3 yrs ago, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. They say it is mild and my curve isn't visible unless you are examining me. For 4 yrs now I have had back pain. The reason I finally went in to get it checked is because I started having very painful spasms which I thought were heart attacks (never had this much pain and have had 3 kids). The pain starts behind my right shoulder blade. It starts as a dull ache and then radiates from my upper back to my arms to my my lower ribs. I literally feel like the wind is knocked out of me. I can't breathe, talk, move. I always feel like I'm dying. It seems to gey worse and longer eac time. I ended up in the er one morning cuz it was so bad. The docs want me to go to physical therapy. Been there and it doesn't work. At this point I think its nerves and not scoliosis. I'm depressed because I hurt all day. Now the pain radiates sharply to my lower back and buttocks when I move certain ways. I am tired of being told that back pain is normal for mothers abd to go home and stretch. The pain is numbing, sometimes tingling, and at times dull and achy. Please feel free to ask questions. Not sure what other info may help but I will answer all questions. I'm at the end of my rope. I know I need a mri but right now the docs act as if I'm making it all up or exagerating. I'm not! I'm so frustrated. I would love some advice.

Answer
Tiffany,
I want to help you and can do so if you can get for me some X-Rays or MRI's of your Cervical Spine.  You can send them to my email so I can look at them and then I can offer my expert opinion and possibly help you.
It is highly likely that you are having a nervous system problem and I just need to prove that before we move forward.
Also, let me know your geographical location so I can see if I can find a specialist that does the work that I do in your area if possible.  Otherwise, I would be happy to help you at The Arnone Clinic if you are able to come by.
