Question
My mom, 61 years old, was complaining about lower back and leg pain. She went to the doctor, had a CT scan and they concluded the following:

?  Degenerative change over the vertebral body
?  Posterior disk prolapse b/n L 5 and S 1 vertebrae

They also recommended surgery.

My question, what does the conclusion mean?
How is it caused?
Is there any other solution than surgery? ( She has pain but it抯 not preventing her from her usual activities)
What happens if my mom refuses surgery? Will there be more damage? Will things stay the same?

Pls explain and advise on things to do and not to do in the meantime.
Thanks

Answer
Samra,
There is a 90% chance that your mom does not need surgery.  This is the answer that got from these doctors that treat effects and know nothing about locating and correcting cause.
If you truly want the best for your mom and do not want her to have harmful surgery that is irreversible, then you can send her to St Louis for a nervous system examination.
Once we examine her nervous system we will be able to prove to you and to anyone by day two, that she has a nervous system problem and that we can correct it. This is what is causing her instability in her spine, in fact her unstable lower spine is caused by the Upper Spine being in the wrong position and leading the lower spine into misalignment as well.
There is only one way to correct this problem and the good news is that it requires no drugs or surgery of any kind.
