Question
QUESTION: Hello Robert i dont know if you can help with this question or not so here goes, i have been suffering from chronic nausea for 2 years the drs cant find a cause for it and it has turned my life into a living hell, i have read that nerves that connect the brain to the stomach relay nausea messages, my question is do you know if there is any surgery to disconnect these nerves that will stop the nausea, or is there anything else in the brain or spine that could be operated on to stop the nausea messages?

ANSWER: Scott,
I am here to help you, but first I am going to ask one thing of you:  Please get the idea of surgery or operation out of your head, at least for the time being, OK?

Now, yes you are reading correctly that there are nerves that connect from your brain to your stomach and communicate about various functions including nausea.  However, there are many other functions and when you sever the nerve you shut off many other functions as well.  Besides, the human body is not a machine that is made up a various separate parts, the human body functions correctly in its totality.

What you need is an evaluation, a check of your nervous system to see if there is an interference that can be corrected.  Once the interference is detected we would need to get a picture of it and a measurement of the nature of it.  We will then be in the best possible scenario of correcting it (without drugs or surgery).

QUESTION: Who would do such an evaluation, a neurologist?
i have already seen a chiropractor who took xrays of my spine and said there were parts of my spine that werent quite right and he may be able to help, i have had about 6 adjustments so far (in 4 weeks) with no improvement.
He said it may take a long time to fix the nausea if at all, but 2 of the adjustments were done by another chiropractor at the same practice who said if it was going to work i should be seeing an improvement in 2-3 weeks.
Whos right? i cant take this constant nausea much longer.

ANSWER: Scott,
Let me ask you a question about your Chiropractor(s):
Did either of these Doctors, do any nervous system tests?
Did they especially do any before and after nervous system tests with manipulation?
Did you ever go to the Doctor and not receive a manipulation after taking a nervous system test?

QUESTION: Hello DR if by a nervous system test you mean getting me to push or pull against them with my hands or feet the answer is yes, they did do this before and after manipulation and they said after manipulation i was able to exert more force, i think they just wernt pushing is hard.
I was also asked to walk a straight line heel to toe with my eyes closed which i could not do.
If this is not what you meen by a nervous system test could you please clarify.
Today i saw a neurologist who sais i'm waisting my money with the chiropractor, he also said he doesn't think my problem is neurological.

Answer
Scott,
I apologize but it appears that the Chiro and the Neuro are both real winners.  I will discuss this with you and then suggest that we find you someone that CAN help you.  Does that sound OK?
Now,  I am not talking about doing a muscle test.  I am talking about evaluating your nervous system with instrumentation that is documented and proven on each and every visit.
By the way, since the nervous system runs all of the cells in your body and is involved in all cellular function, guess what?  It is almost always the nervous system that is not only involved but a major cause of your abnormal health.  Truth be told your neuro and your chiro got to examine you which I did not, so I would need to do that to be able to prove it for certain.
Let's see if we can find someone that can help you, tell me what part of the country you are in and I will see what I can do for you.
