Question
I have the usual degenerative changes for 52 years. Moderate degreees of canal stenosis at L4/5 and L5/Si incuding mild left L5 meral foranimal stenosis.

I fin most recently that lifting aggravates the condition. I have had chronic pain the last week. Left hip and upper thigh. Can I do some yoga to alleviate this?

Answer
Maria,

Although Yoga is very good for posture and muscle tone as well as flexibility and strength, it cannot re-align a misaligned vertebra.  And a mis-aligned vertebra is most likely what you are suffering from which can cause your problems.
How can we know for sure?
Take some pictures of your spin and see as well as run a few Nervous System Tests.
Are you able to come to St Louis?
How far are you?

Yours in Best Health,
Dr Arnone
