Question
I had a auto accident in 2006, surgery c5-6 fusion in 2007 started having facial spasms left side of face now I am having total loss of muscles where I cant walk or move a muscles in my whole body while this is happening I am having pain in my neck. I have had Mris,CT,X-rays and emgs and there is nothing showing up. i was told I have nerve damage from surgery. How can this effect my face and why am I having weakness and loss of muscles? The loss of muscles happens once a month and I have facial spasms several times a week. i am on medications to help stop the nerves from sending signals to my brain. What medications do you suggest? Will my nerves heal? How is the pain in my neck related to these symptoms? I want to get better but I have been having problems since my accident with a deer 3 years ago. please help me.

Answer
Dot,
I am very concerned with the medication you are taking to stop the nerves from sending signals to your brain,  do you know that this is how your cells function, by communicating with your Brain?  If you stop that from occurring you are shutting down cellular function which is essentially what death is.
Can you send me some of the pics (MRI, CT, XRAY) that were taken?
There is a good chance that I can help you but I need to know more about you and getting a look at your pics will help me to help you.
Where are you located?
Are you far from St Louis?
Would you be able to come here if need be?
Hang in there, help is on the way?
