ANSWER: Unfortunately, it appears that you are caught in the usual workers comp nightmare where 'their' doctors say that you're fine when you are not.  The feet and leg problems could be related to the fall if the neck was injured.  Nerves in the neck can cause problems in the arms and legs.

I would recommend that your neuro doc contact the workers comp doctor and inform him of the EMG findings and the referral to a surgeon.  This definitely indicates that something is not correct.  The message will carry much more weight coming from another physician instead of coming from you.

Having gone through on-the-job injuries in the past, it is my personal opinion that workers comp doctors don't always believe their patients (particularly if the patient is a woman) and often work for the benefit of the institution instead of the patient.

Thank you for your question, Sarah.  I hope that my answer gives you some help.

Answer
It looks like you are doing all the right things.  The lawyer needs access to all your medical records, MRIs, etc. so that she can have an independent doctor (not affiliated with the hospital) to review them.

I recommend following the care plan that your neuro doctor has laid out for you.  She is the most knowledgeable on your condition.

Thanks for the follow-up, Sarah.  I hope that you get the help that you need.
