Question
I have been taking Etodolac for years now on a regular basis. One time I was out of it for about two months. It was at that time I began hurting on the bottom of my right foot. Very sore when I stepped down on it. Upon asking my Primary care doctor, she said I probably had a bone spur on the bottom of my foot. But once I began taking the etodolac again on a regular basis, the pain stopped. Now, it happens on occasion. My question to you is, if someone is taking an anti inflammatory like etodolac on a daily basis, could it mask something like a bone spur?

Answer
Dear Karla

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Ukranian Village 60622, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...

For your foot sprain. Etodolac is an anti-inflammatory, which will reduce the pain of plantar fasciitis. Go see a Board Certified Podiatrist-who will be able to treat the heel pain. It's wrong to assume that you have spurs-without an x-ray.
Hope this helps & Good Luck!
