i have just brought an exercise bike im following rules but get terrible leg cramps after useing how can i stop this happening

Hi jacqueline,

There could be several reasons.

1. Not warming up properly.

2. Working too hard. In other words not conditioned properly to bike the amount of time or distance you are completing.

3. If you are doing all the above properly, seat positioned the right height etc... then you may want to have your doctor check to make sure you have adequate blood circulation in your legs.

4. Possibly something missing in your diet like potassium that prevents cramping.

Not knowing your overall physical condition its hard to determine what could be the cause but generally its one of the above.
