Question
I am a 84 year old female who had a total hip replacement five years ago. What is the average life expectancy after a hip replacement?

Dear Susie,

The life of an implant is usually @15-20 years-depending on the model of the implant, surgical technique & the recipient. Excessive use & poor position may decrease the life.

Hope this helps & Good Luck!
