second toe pain

Question
Ok, I have been to a specialist foot doctor. They can not find the reason why I have this throbbing pain that now spreads down to my other toes up my leg sometimes, and then I get a pain on my right lower groin area. Sometimes if I pop my toes the pain will go away but to the touch it still hurts. The tip of my second toe right on the corner on the right foot hurts so bad. I can not stomp my foot, run in water or even take the polish of my toe with out it hurting so bad. The pain is so intense that my body gets hot and my heart starts racing, and it takes a good five to ten minutes for the pain to ease some. When I drive the shooting pain hits and my foot comes of the gas pedal, and the pain will go away for a few seconds then shooting pain will hit again. I notice when it is cool and windy it hurts. If I keep thick socks on the shooting pain is not there, but like I said if i press on the tip just a little it hurts. Can someone please tell me what could it be.  Thank you

This Chicago & Elmhurst Podiatrist says.......

Dear Lana,
Were x-rays taken?
You may have some kind of spur or growth in the bone by the tip of the toe-or even an ingrown toenail.
The pain in the groin may be from walking different because the toe is hurting.
You may have some decreased circulation to the toe.
The foot may be sensitive to the cold.
There may be a pinched nerve somewhere in the toe.
Go see a good Board Certified Podiatrist and bring all findings with you
Good Luck!
