Question
Hopefully you will know the answer to my question...
So, I have this pain on the bottom of my foot in the Very Middle, it feels like a needle was just shot through my foor. It only happens every so often when I am walking. The pain only lasts for about 2 seconds (if that) and then its gone. If you have any idea what this could be, the help would be Greatly appreciated :D

Answer
Lola,
Tough to diagnose a pain like this without seeing you, but my thought would be a nerve compression issue.  If every now and then you feel a "zinger," pressure on a nerve is often to blame.  My suggestion is to first try some ice and OTC anti-inflammatory medication, but if it doesn't resolve the pain, visit your podiatrist.
All the best,
Andrew Schneider, DPM
