Question
i have a lump on my big toe top of foot,my doctor has drawn fluid off which he said is joint fluid but seams to have filled up again overnite, what has caused this and what is it

Answer
Hard to say exactly what it is without seeing it, but it sounds similar to a ganglion cyst.  It happens in areas of trauma (such as stubbing a toe) and often comes back when drained.  If it continues to return, and is painful, it can be removed surgically.

All the best,
