Question
I live in Atlanta and I had surgery for Morton's Neuroma ten months ago and now have more internal swelling and discomfort in the ball of my foot each day. The "cure" was much worse than the original condition. I have visited other podiatrists in this area who basically shrug their shoulders. Is your procedure an option in helping post-surgical issues associated with this particular neuroma surgery?

Answer
Hi Wood,

Cryosurgery could possibly be used for a failed neuroma surgery.  I would need to see an MRI to determine what might be happening in the surgical area.  I would also need to talk to you and get more information.  It would be difficult to know without more information and doing an exam.  However, I do treat many failed neuroma surgery cases with cryosurgery.  I also wonder if a neuroma was confirmed by testing before the surgery and pathology after the surgery.

Sincerely,
