weakness and tingling pain that shoots down to my pointer finger, as well as nasty headaches and neck and shoulder pain, is this normal or should i see someone, i also have scoleosis and arthitus as well do to this injury hope you can help

Answer
Hi Victor-
Will do my best...
The numbness down your arm might be worth looking into.  I've never had numbness that came and went (it all just came and stayed!) so something in there is likely pinching a nerve.  Especially given the hardware and that you probably have osteoporosis (bones weakening), I'd suggest asking someone to check it out.
Are the headaches dysreflexic?  Do they come with a change in blood pressure?  If so, you really need to pay attention and find out what's happening.  Dysreflexia can kill you, and it's not easy to find people (even Docs) who are familiar with it.  If they are more like tension headaches, which would go along maybe with shoulder pain?, I'd suggest stretching  or talking someone into giving you a regular massage :)

Again considering the injury, the metal inside you and the bone weakening, I'd say yes you should see someone.  Get an Xray , CAT scan, make sure everything is still holding together in your neck.  Especially if the pains are limiting your life.
If the headaches are dysreflexia, please give them immediate attention.  If you're unsure about dysreflexia, please  ask me (or your doctor) because it can be serious, ok?

Hope you can use some of this and find out what's giving you the problems.  In the meantime I wish you good luck-
leslie
