Question
Hi, about 10 years ago I broke my neck in a swimming accident and fractured the 7th and crushed the 5th vertebrate. I was in traction for 2months in a hospital, and other than some neck muscle damage, and the odd aches it seems fine. I have played rugby for many years, but not since this accident, and I was wondering if there is a way that I could get a proper specialist x-ray diagnosis of my neck area and know whether or not, finally, I could start and playing socially again.

Answer
Hi Andrew,

I would think you could see a neurologist about that. But if it were me I'd give up the idea of playing rugby again, of course I am bias because I have lived 36 plus years as a C4-C5 quadriplegic. I wish you the best no matter what you choose to do.

Sincerely,
      Ken
