Question
Hi Again John.

It's me Tina and I have come across another stumbling block.  Besides, I haven't bugged you in a while lol.

You see, I am not an American myself but I have made my character one.  I just wanted to know if insurance would cover the hospital stay as well as the rehab or would he have to pay for some of it from his own pocket?  And if so, what would the approximate cost be?

Thanks Again,

Tina LaMarsh

Answer
Hi Tina,

It all depends on his previous insurance policy. If his current insurance doesn't pay for the entire hospital stay and rehab, then he would be covered through Medicare. Our health system here is not a social type system but it would cover him because he is a disabled citizen. I am covered under Medicare and receive monthly disability checks called Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Another type of disability check is Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Some disabled persons are eligable to receive both. The payment to each person varies and is usually based on how much they were being paid at the time of their disability.

Since this is a fictitious character, then your dollar amount could be whatever you want it to be as long as it's not an outrageous amount.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Thanks,
John McKinzie
