Question
My fiancee was in jail on child support and got MRSA through a small pimple on his arm.  well it got in his blood stream causing a ten inch pocket of MRSA on his upper spine. This has caused him to be paralyzed from the waste down. it was drained and he has now been recovering for about 4 weeks.  He is to be transferred to Houston Texas Herman Memorial TIRR unit where the specialize in Spinal cord Injury.  He has some sensation through his legs.  he has refluxes where if you tickle his feet it jerks back. In your opinion what does his outcome look like to walk again.  he has no hope but i do.

Answer
Hi Maria,

I'm so sorry to hear about your fiance's MRSA. I do not know much about his situation, but if his spinal cord is not too damaged I think he has a decent chance to regain his ability to walk again. But what do his doctors say? I would think the new hospital should be able to give him a better idea of what he will regain.

Sincerely, Ken
