Question
My husband is paraplegic, with spinal cord injury at T-10.  Is a colonostomy ever indicated to aid in independence?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Angela,
Thanks so much for your question.

I have included a link below that I believe you will find helpful. In my experiences with people I know that have had a colostomy, I've found that in some cases it is a personal preference. Please read the information carefully, thoroughly and talk to your doctor before making any decisions.

I hope this helps you and if you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

Thanks again,
John McKinzie
