Question
I was injected with cortisone 6 days ago, i am now having what i describe is it feels like if you were getting shocks it runs down my arm and into my fingers, the pain is still there in my shoulder so i have a feeling it didn't take, is this normal or does this take more time to work. Thanks

Answer
Hi Barb and thanks for writing,

It sounds like you are experiencing nerve pain either from pressure on the nerve (from swelling?) or possibly even slight nerve damage frm the injection itself.

I would call the doctor who did the injection and tell him about your nerve pain and tingling since the shot; or go see your family doctor if you can't get into see the surgeon soon.

Wishing you all the best,
Margot
