Question
THERE IS A PAIN IN MY RIGTH FORARM/ THE PAIN STARTS WHERE MY THUMB IS AND ENDS AT MY ELBOW.  IT IS NOT MY ENTIRE ARM, IT IS JUST THE TOP PART OF MY FOREARM. THE PAIN IS NOW WORKING IT WAY UP TO MY SHOULDER. CAN YOU HELP ME.. WHAT IS MY BODY TRYING TO TELL ME?

Answer
Hi Layla

It sounds most like some type of radiating pain, which basically means there is some pressure on a nerve that runs down the arm. You're feeling the pain in your forearm, but the pressure on the nerve may be somewhere else, including the elbow or the shoulder.

There are a number of possibilities,  including carpal tunnel or entrapment of the nerves in the shoulder.

Any type of radiating pain is a sign to get in and see a doctor, so please do that as soon as possible.

Hope you start feeling better.
