Answer
Dear Prashanth,

Surgery may be your father's only hope and I cannot just write a response and say don't have surgery! But if surgery is inevitable why not try some conservative treatment first. Try to find a chiropractor who employs cervical spinal decompression. This is a very specialized technique with specialized equipment for patients who present with the same conditions you described your father having. This therapy may be the answer for your fathers condition.

If you can't find a chiropractor that employs spinal decompression then the next best thing would be instrument adjusting. You have to ask the chiropractor if he does instrument adjusting.

You also can go to the internet and look up "Psoture Pump" and this is a home unit that may help your father.

Please realize that before actually using the posture pump you should at a minimum have your father examined by a chiropractor and get proper instruction on it's proper use. i can only make suggestions but w/o physically examining your father must have the disclaimer that the posture pump used incorrectly could cause further harm.

I hope this information helps you in your health care decision making.
