Question
I was a pedestrian hit by a car in a crosswalk! In Dec/09 i was told i had soft tissue injuries to my Right hip, neck- classified WAD11 and sprained rotater cuff. I was put in PT and was going regular 1-3 times as well as massage therapy. After 6 months i am having even worse pain, whole right hip, hip joint and thigh into calf now, aches, burns, throbs.I seen a  chirio practor hired by the insurance company and he states it might lead to bursitis or muscle difunction. I now am seeing a chirio for the past month and the insurance company wants me to do it for another 8-10 weeks before getting an MRI or seeing an orthepedic sergeon. I'm nervous because i haven't even had Xrays or any type of tests after the accident and i know there is something majorly damaged and if i wait any longer i know its just gonna get worse.also worried that i'm damaging it more and more.. I was work after the accident a week after worked part time back up to almost 27-30 hours a week but recently had to drop back down to 15 a week because of pain.. Don't know what to do anymore... Any advise would be helpful Thanks for your time

Answer
If you have been seeing a chiropractor without any x-rays after being in a car accident, the first thing that you need to do for your health is get far away from that chiropractor and do not let him or her touch you again.
The next thing that you should do, especially if you do not want harmful drugs or surgery, is to find your self an upper cervical specific doctor.
This is a specialist doctor that concentrates on the cause of the problem and does use specific x-rays as well as nervous system tests to assure that you move in the right direction towards getting well.
Once you locate someone you can reply back to me with who you have found and I can find out about them if I would recommend them to you or not.

Yours in Best Health,
