Question
I bent over to pick up a pen 9 weeks ago and have not been back to work since.I have an MRI that state I have a bulging disk, arthritic changes in my facet joints and several sacral lesions. Also have been told by therapist my hip is twisted forward and my right leg is 1/2 inch longer than my left.I have made alot of progress in 9 weeks but just can't get rid of the pain. I am still walking(slowly and cautiously) and was never really laid up in bed because I learned years ago from frozen shoulder that it is not good to rest too long.Should I expect my back to get better than this.

Answer
It sounds like you have "hit a wall" with the current treatments, and if the therapist is correct about "hip twisting" there is nothing they can do about it.  My suggestion is to seek a chiropractic opinion and evaluation.  Everybody has some sort of disc bulge and/or arthritic changes in the spine, it's call life.  Walking around, lifting things, daily activity causes wear and tear on joints.  Keeping the body "in-line" help decrease the amount of wear and tear that is caused by daily activity.  If you are interested, go to www.sorsi.com to locate a doctor near you.  I am a member of this group and trust all of them.  I am in St. Paul, Minnesota and would be happy to see you.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please email me.
