Question
I was helping lift a very large pt.I was leaned over and when I up, It felt like fire from my knees to my ankles. For two weeks I had a bad headache in the back of my head and back pain, tingling, burning. I had a MRI done twice. The results of the last one states. There is mild broad base bulging of the intervertebral dics at C6-7.There is mild narrowing of the spinal canal or bilateral neural foramina. Incidental note is made of a hemangioma within the T2 vertebral body which measures 12mm. I would appreciate any information on this, I was told it is just degenerative disc disease an given Lyrica, I can not work and take this medicine and it makes me feel terrible.I work 12 hr shifts and take care of hospital pts.

Answer
It sounds to me like there are two or three different problems here.   The pain in the legs is most likely not caused my your neck... it sounds like the MRI could have been done on the low back instead of the neck.  The discs in the neck typically do not give rise to headaches, but forward head posture can certainly cause them both.   The hemangioma is nothing to worry about. Try going to a chiropractor who will prescribe a cervical pillow, and perhaps a Posture Pump, a tool that helps to hydrate the disc.  Chiropracti adjustments have great results with people like you.  I don't want to sound like a salesman here, but I get great results with cases like yours, and think you should take the plunge.
