Question
I had an mri of my cervical spine. i am experiancing pain down my back up the back of my skull and down my left arm which is causing tingling in some of my fingers mainly my middle and ring finger. also have numbness in neck up to face
c3-4 minimal disc narrowing. mild posterior disc prominence with no appreciable central canal narrowing. mild to moderate biforaminal mixed spondylitic narrowing.
c4-5 normal disc height. mild biforaminal mixed spondylitic narrowing. no appreciable central canl narrowing.
c5-6 minimal posterior disc prominence with mild central canal narrowing. mild left mixed spondylitic foraminal narrowing. patent right neural foramen.
c6-7 small central disc protrusion with minimal central canal narrowing. neural foramina remain patent.
c1-2 negative
c2-3 negative
c7-t1 negative

long and short axis fat and water weighted sequences were obtained without contrast.

The significant part of this report is:

c5-6 minimal posterior disc prominence with mild central canal narrowing
c6-7 small central disc protrusion with minimal central canal narrowing

It indicates muscular contractions causing disc and nerve root compression in those areas, which you experience in your hand and face.  That's also the pain that goes up your neck (muscular soreness).
