Question
Hello,

I was advised an MRI of the brain and Cerical Spine, since i have this tingling feeling starting from the right ear to head since the last one month or so. I also get this tingling feeling under my foot and the right side of my jaw. MRI of the brain was clear, but ther are bulges in the C4-5 and C5-6 discs of the spine without abuttation to the cord. Is it a cause to worry. Pls adivse on what should be done further. Thanks.

Answer
Dear xxx --

not cause to worry, but you might be uncomfortable!  Without treatment, the condition may worsen, over time.

Disc bulges in the neck often go with nerve root compression, which fits your symptoms.

Tight neck muscles cause nerve root compression, so a direct remedy is to retrain the tight muscles to free them.

May I direct you to my write-up:

which discusses the matter, further and provides a course of action.
