I broke my c1 c2 vertebrae about three months ago and the doctor said it was healed about a week ago. I wore a neck brace the whole time but a certain way I turn my neck a my left arm goes numb.
What is causing that?

Numbness is an indication of nerve irritation. It is quite possible that one of the nerve roots in your neck is being pinched or compressed when you turn your neck. This may eventually resolve with time and some physical therapy may be helpful, but this is definitely something you want to follow up with your physician.
