Question
Hi..
I am writing this as i and my mother are having this problem ever since is was a child (now 26). We live in Delhi (India) and it gets pretty chilly in the winter and we dont have central room heating so have to make do with small heaters. The problem is that every winter when the temp. really drops we start getting itchy toes and fingers and they swell up causing lot of pain. I dont know if the problem is coz of lack of proper blood circulation or coz of lack of some vitamins. I would be greatful if you can suggest something for this. Thanks

Answer
Prashant,

This is a tough question to answer with out more information. But here is a place to start researching.

There is a condition called Raynaud's Phenomenon. The disease flares up when exposed to cold or strong emotions.

Here is a place to find more information about this condition

http://www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/raynaud/ar125fs.htm

This is not a diagnosis but a place to start your research.

I wish you well.
