Question
I have been having joint problems in my wrist, knees even fingers.  My doctor did some test.  While looking at my results I notice next to RA Latex Turbid.  <7.0   IU/mL  0.0 - 13.9, do I have Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Answer
Lisa,

Legally I can not offer a diagnosis in a forum like this. So I will give some information about RA Factor.

The normal range for RA Factor is 0 - 15. So your RA Factor is not high. Unfortunately this does not mean that you do not have RA. This test is used to help diagnose several conditions including Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and other autoimmune conditions. The test means nothing by itself. A diagnosis is made based on the results of several tests in combination with the symptoms you have in your body.

All in all it is good for you that your RA Factor is not high. I have seen it above 400. If you do have an autoimmune condition this can suggest that it is not severe.
