Using Nordic Walking with your condition.

Question
I would be very interested to see if Nordic Walking in small doses would work with your medical conditions. I live in Philadelphia and would be glad to give you a free lesson--with my poles--if you are anywhere close to me.

If you are not, you might want to get a pair yourself, try it out and I would be happy to get feedback from you and report it to other Nordic Walking trainers like myself.

I am 74, have some knee degeneration and do Nordic
Walking myself to keep fit. I have to make sure to do it in smaller doses than my brain wants to do.

I pushed hard a month ago, felt great so I did five miles at a fast clip. My knee "talked to me" for quite a while after that.

Answer
Dear Jeanne,   Thanks for the offer, but I have too many other medical conditions besides osteoarthritis that would prevent me from doing Nordic Walking even in small doses... I can't even do a tread mill stress tests because of high blood pressure and heart disease....

Here in the south we never see snow anyway...
