Bilateral Foot Pain

Question
I've been dealing with pain in both feet for about a year. Mostly a deep throbbing pain, usually the feet are very stiff in the morning as well. Pain is not always consistent, but I'm not able to relate it to diet, alcohol consumption, weather, etc... I've had an EMG, bone scan and x-ray, MRI of the left foot....all negative.  I'm currently thinking arthritis, but also worry about really scary stuff, like MS. I've seen 3 podiatrists, neurologist, general Dr., they all seem stumped.  Motrin doesn't seem to help much.  No swelling of feet, not cold, blood pressure is fine.  I'm 46 years old, 190 lbs., very fit, non-smoker. Any thoughts of which road to go down?  I'm close to the Mayo clinic, but I have no idea of where to start (which specialty). My insurance is excellent, so getting proper care should not be a problem, but I'm going on a year now. Thanks

Answer
The only foot pain I've had experience with was plantar fasciitis with heel spurs and it was easily diagnosed and treated by a podiatrist. It may be worth your while to see a rheumatologist and be assessed for some sort of arthritis. There are many kinds of arthritis and some can be difficult to diagnose, so going to the specialty that sees it the most can help.
