Question
Hello, after some time I felt pain in my feet so I went to do xrays. As I thought the reason was calcaneal spur (you can see in the attachment). Please can you tell me if it can be considered serious and what treatment do you suggest?

Answer
Dear Marek,

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...
For your calcaneal spur. Heel spurs are caused by tight gastrocnemius, excess weight or activity, and sometimes by some arthritic processes. Check http://anklenfoot.com/Education/YourFeet/Heel/tabid/102/Default.aspx for additional info.
The spur is not serious-except for the pain. Best treatment is stretching your plantar fascia & your gastrocs, sometimes orthotics help also.
If this does not work- see your local podiatrist!

Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
