Question
Hi my name is Shay and Im 18. I dont know if you can help me with this but I've had this problem for a few years. Probably longer but this is when I realized it. My problem is every time i lift either arm over my head it pops. You can just hear it. I realized it when i was doing PE. During the overhead press with dunbells my arms would pop every time they went up. And it doesn't hurt it just happens. Even other classmates were asking why my arms were doing that. At first I thought it was something I would grow out of but I haven't. Are their any answers that you think it could be? I keep thinking its my bones rubbing against each other. Could this be it?

Thank you so much
Sincerely
Shay

Answer
Shay,
yep it's most likely your joints rubbing against each other as they move...there's not a whole lot to do. Probably a genetic thing, you could ck with mother or father etc..to see if they remember joints popping or having joint laxity. You still may grow out of it...or you might could contact a PT to see if there are any exercises that could tighten up your joint ligaments.
