Question
it's 6 weeks sinceI had my THR and I'll soon be ready for a bath.Could you tell me the best way to get in and out of the bath please

Please do not take a bath until your doctor tells you that you are cleared to do so.  My concern is the bending that needs to be done to get in and out of the tub after only six weeks post op.  Most of the bodily positions to get into the tub are not good for THR patients, so please speak with your doctor before bathing in a tub.

I would choose a shower as it's safer for you to wash in a shower than bending for a tub.  Regardless of which is better for you, do not bathe while alone, and make sure you take a cane or crutches into the bathroom with you.  Put plenty of bath mats on the floors to soak up water spills, and make sure you don't slip.
