Question
hi, i recently started to develop pain in my wrist and hips (hip flexor).....(started drumming a year ago). After 10 minutes of walking i start to feel a dull pain in my hips, I'm not sure if its my hip flexor or my hip joint, but yeah, I'm a healthy 18 year old male and i used to be on the soccer team. its been like a month and my hips still hurt, and now my ankle clicks all the time. so basically most of my joints have some sort of problem, is it my diet? are there exercises i can do? any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks you very much
(I'm going to book an appointment at the doctors soon.)

Answer
David,
I would start with the most obvious and work from there..sitting drumming etc..may be straining these joints and muscles, I would stop for a while and take advil per label and see if that helps. If you have family history of arthritis, you may need xrays, lab tests etc..There is some genetic things with the hips but at 18 it is not common. You really need to have a diagnosis before any exercises because you don't know what you are treating. As long as you are not over weight diet most likely will not effect this one way or the other..all though herbalist, naturopaths would say different and will sell you all kind of stuff. Glucosamine is about $30-50/mo and has been shown to be really no more effective than advil etc..
