Question
Dr.Tsatsos a friend of mine went to a plastic surgeon to have them do surgery on her finger because she had a trigger finger, that he fixed. My question is I have a trigger finger and I want to get it fixed, but I would think I should go to a orthopedic surgeon for that not a plastic surgeon.

Answer
This Chicago, South Loop & Elmhurst Orthopedic Podiatrist of AnklenfootCenters.com says.......

Dear Jerry,

The orthopedic surgeon who has had training in hand surgery will also know the required plastic surgery of the hand to do the job well.
Seek an orthopedist who specializes in hands and not one who does general orthopedic surgery. That would be who I would see.

Hope This Helps!
and
Good Luck!
