Question
Hi there,
I have a friend who is a quadriplegic, currently working in a government office.  He is really feeling the cold at work around his shoulders and head. He's wearing a beanie and scarf, but still feels it.  I just wondered if you had any tips for keeping warm, safely, in an office environment.
Thanks!

Answer
hi Marie

hmm yes hospitals, airplanes, and govt offices are the coldest places ever! Other than wearing tons of clothes, the only thing I know of is Bed Buddies.

Do you know what I mean? they are soft cloth things filled with little pieces of plastic (like 'beans'). you can microwave them for 30 seconds and they'll stay warm for quite a while- just as long as he only has it on parts he can feel, or makes very sure not to burn himself

otherwise- portable heater??

goodd luck, stay warm
leslie
