Question
I had a SCI between the T5 and T6.  I can walk again but I have muscle pain all the time.  I can deal with that but the burning at night is almost unbearable and causes me to lose sleep.  It is like my skin on my legs are on fire.  Do you know any thing that can relieve the pain?

Answer
Hi Gerald,
Thanks so much for your question.

You have to remember that your spine suffered a trauma. It sounds like the muscle pain and burning sensation are due to nerve damage.

I would suggest you talk to a neurologist about what type of treatment, if any, might be available.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to be more helpful. If have any more questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

Thanks again,
John McKinzie
