How can i up activity with out hurting myself. many questions.

Answer
Hi Jennifer and thanks for writing,

You really want to gently stretch the muscles to help them relax. I suggest the best way to do this is to go try Pilates; but do not go to a group session in a gym as that's not real Pilates and can do more harm then good, find a one-on-one Pilates instructor who can work with you and develop a gentle and safe exercise regime.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best. i too have had chronic back/hip pain with occasional sciatica and have found Pilates to be the best method to relieve my pain. Try to find an instructor trained in Classic Pilates too as it's the best.
