Question
Hi there,

I have developed tennis elbow, golfers elbow, wrist pain and plantar fascitis all at the same time. I don't think it is a coincidence. Could there be an overlying condition causing this?

Thanks so much
Kind regards

Answer
Dear Angela,

There are some things that you might consider.  (Wikipedia has a pretty good page on inflammation)  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflammation

First of all, how is your diet? Diets that are high in refined carbohydrates and saturated fats will cause the body to harbor more inflammation.

Second, do you have any underlying diseases? Adrenal gland issues and thyroid issues come to mind.

Third, do you have any underlying infections?

Fourth, is there a family history of arthritic conditions, or have you had a diagnosis of arthritis?

There are some blood tests that can be taken to rule some of these things out. I would start today by taking a really close look at my diet, and then setting up an appointment with my medical doctor to have some tests run.

I agree, it sounds funny to have so many inflammatory conditions all at the same time.  You will only be able to put your mind at ease by having some tests run.

Good Luck Angela. I hope that you get to the bottom of this and feel better soon.
