Question
i have many times pain around the scaplua always on my right side.

i also have scolosis of only 9 degrees and this same right

side sometimes the 1st rib has been hypermobile

also this same right side the serratus anterior muscle can

get quite tight

there is some kind of weakness in this scapula

it is not winging

i am just not sure exactly what i could be having

i have tried quite a few rehab which does help

at times but not permanently

i have done with a band a serratus anterior excersize

with myself on all 4

also when i do so called rotator cuff excersize of

external roation with a band that when i checked on wikipedia

apparently hits all 4 of the rotator cuff muscles but there

is no mention of serratus anterior

for the right side at the end range i

think it is also the serratus anterior into some great pain

or weakness

a few questions

please could briefly tell me who if it does come into the play

who the 1st rib, scapula, long thoriac nerve, 4 rotator cuff muscles, serratus anterior are linked

just what kind of connections are here. i am abit confused.

and last question from my description just what possible dynfuction could i be having? and what i should be doing about it?

thanking you in advance

Answer
You answered your own question. Scoliosis causes mis alignment of the spine and ribs. It can cause pain near scapula, tightness In serratus muscles and rib pain. I would try and consult a chiropractor if they exist in your country. If your spine curves to the right then you should be exercising (strengthening) your left side rotator cuffs. If you do not have chiropractic try physical therapy.
