Question
I have been having this pain in the outer side of my right foot and in my heel.  It is really bad first thing in the morning and also when I've been on my feet for awhile.  I've tried different shoes, ice, and heat, without any relief.  I have no previous injuries to my foot.  Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Courtni

Answer
HI Courtni,

This sounds like plantar fasciitis assuming outside is the big toe side.  Otherwise it may be strain of the tendons.  Since you are not getting better, I would see a podiatrist for an exam.

Good Luck.
