Question
I am an LMT in WA.  My friends dad was paralyzed from the neck down last Sept.  He is on a respirator.  He has some tingling feeling in his hands , mostly on the right.

What if anything can massage contribute to increasing those sensations.  and possibly strenthen the breathing muscles to help wean him off the respirator.  thank you

Answer
Hi Norine,
Thanks so much for your question.

Any massage is going to be benificial. It will help in his circulation and could help keep an open communication between the body and the brain. I have not heard of any specific massage that will help with his weaning off the respirator.

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

Thanks again,
John McKinzie
