well my uncle has been a quad for 25 years and he has these leg spasms that are just horrible i been they will go straight and it takes all ur force to push them back up and the doctors was wanting to cut the tendons in the leg and now da dnt want to cuz da say he dnt quilfy for it and he is on all the meds that will work and they are not working now and i hate to see him in pain he in the hospital now so what else is there that we could look in to too help him he was in a diving accident he is a c4 and a c5 i do belive wheelchair bound only has use of arms and hands and has only feeling from nipples up PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Hey Christine, One thing you may look at is things which I have found to increase or out right cause spasms for me. Simple things like in-grown finger or toe nails; or nails that are cut too short. Another possibility is any type of skin sores; and any in-grown hairs, especially in the pubic region. All these things you probably wouldn't think could cause spasms; but believe me they do!!! Botox injections are another choice if meds don't work for relieving spasms. I hope this helps you and I hope your Uncle can find some relief.  Sincerely, Ken
