blood clots pressing on the spinal cord

OK they have me now,they said at least 2 maybe 3 blood clots pressing against my spinal cord between my shoulder blades.They are wanting a mri on it asap,I was told yesterday. He also had mentioned surgery,my blood pressure today has been outragous.Any info I can get would be excellent.

Thanks so much for your question.

I'm not sure what info you're wanting. From what I know about this type of situation (which is very limited), most of the time, doctors would use blood thinners to treat clots. Only when the clot is in precarious situation, which is probably why they want to do an MRI, do doctors consider surgery.

Always, when possible, seek a second opinion, especially when it involves surgery.
