Question
Hi Margot,

I know this will be a simple question for you.
The thing is that my girlfriend has a back pain.
And we are away from our native country with limited English vocabulary in medical terminology.

What is worrying me is that my girlfriend looks like having a back deformation. She is 揾unch'ing?more and more. And further more, when she started to work as a waitress she is having bad back pain - however she says that the pain disappears whenever she keeps her back straight. I know that there is some kind of a corset (it's not the correct word) - it抯 the thing that we call in our country "a spider". It keeps you straight all the time. Is it worth to buy that 搕hing? And what is the name of it ?as it seems no one understands me in any sport shops or pharmacies?br> Please help :)

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hello Algirdas and thanks for writing,

I think the first thing your girlfriend needs to do is to be examined by a qualified physician to be safe; then you can consider spening money on a back brace if warranted.

You can find a good selcetion of various braces at: http://www.painreliever.com/Back%20Braces.html?gclid=CIfLl_7juo4CFRW3hgodrTkdyw

I hope this helps, all my best,

Margot
