Question
Hi,
I am 31, and have undifferentiated auto immune disorder. I have a lot of muscle pain, some from injuries (very active) others that dont make sense. I have not been able to eat normal food for 12 years without severe pain and vomiting so I eat only nutrition bars a bite or 2 an hour to avoid getting sick. Sometimes that dont even work. In spite of my extremely rare diet, I look healthy and blood work not related to thyroid or auto immune issues comes back normal. Problem...I am dealing with extreme exhaustion. Having trouble functioning. I make myself work out, but have trouble staying awake when walking and could easily go to sleep riding my bicycle. I am still working full time 10 hour days and most weeks with overtime too. I have to work. Do you have any advice for dealing with the fatigue? I can sleep 10-12 hours and not feel like I slept at all and fight to stay awake at work(of course the sleep is broken up into 1 to 2 hour segments at the most because i am always hungry and need another bite of the bar and water, but I am usually down for 10 hours). thanks for your time, vicki

Answer
Hi Vicki and thanks or writing,

I suspect you are not getting all your necessary nutrients so I recommend two things:

1 start taking a MutliVitamin-Mineral supplement,
2 go see a Dietician or Nutritionist to review your specific nutritional needs and work on figuring out a proper and complete diet that will work for you.

All the best,
Margot
